We have a secure garden which has recently been renovated throughout 2023/2024. We have a large shelter, flower beds, large construction blocks, a sound tube, a reading house and much more!

The children enjoy going out within the village, we visit the play park, school, church and have use of the 5 bells meadow across the road.

Every Thursday afternoon, we take the children to the school for outside learning in their forest area.

What your child needs to bring

If your child is staying for lunch could you please provide a packed lunch for them.

Play Clothes: although every precaution is taken to avoid spills and damage to clothes, we advise you to dress your child in ‘play clothes’. We provide aprons for messy play.

Outdoor wear: Can we remind you to bring your child with a warm coat during wet weather

Spare Clothes: You may wish to bring spare clothes in case of accidents

Summertime: In the summer we ask you to ensure your child has a sun hat for outdoor play. It would also be helpful if you would use a sun cream on your child before they attend the session.

Toys/comforters: Please do not feel that you have to separate your child from their special toy/comforter,they are welcome to bring it.

Fruit/ Healthy snacks

We ask that, if possible, you could bring in something healthy that can be shared out at snack time, e.g. fruit and fresh or dried sliced carrots or cucumber, tomatoes etc.

Our Curriculum

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

The EYFS is the statutory Early Years curriculum. This is mandatory for all schools, settings and childminders to follow from birth up to the end of reception. The EYFS sets out our legal obligations regarding things like adult:child ratios, suitable people, safeguarding and welfare, staff qualifications, and learning and development.

We Use Tapestry learning journals. We keep you updated with your childs progress and activities using tapestry.
